Born Lucky Studios

a boutique video production and post-production studio

And for all of you iPhone & iPad users:

As we enter the second month of the new decade, let’s take a quick look over what Born Lucky been up to in its early days.

We begin 2010 in NYC on another shoot for Cause & {Effect}, working on Black History Month spots for Nickelodeon.

See the spots here: (1 -10 are spots we shot on Sony EX-1 and EX-3, 11-13 were shot on our RED camera, by the talented Steven Huber.)

From there we endeavored on our first stop motion film; ‘Frosty goes on Holiday’. Shot in one evening, the film was a test of some of the new features, at least to Emily and I, of the RED.

Entering February, we are shooting the last performances of ‘Disinformation’ a multimedia play/event from the minds of Comedian Reggie Watts and Playwright Tommy Smith in Boston. They previously produced this show in NY at the Under the Radar Festival at the Public and in Seattle’s at On the Boards, where they subsequently produced ‘Transition’ (rent or purchase here) another wonderful multimedia play/event that really can’t be explained, only witnessed and enjoyed.

‘Disinformation’ is being performed in Boston at the ICA. TWO SHOW ONLY: Saturday Feb 13th 7pm & 930pm.

March will see us in our nations capitol working on PSA’s for The Century Council to help raise awareness on the dangers of Underage Drinking with Attorney Generals from across the States and Dara Torres (Bad Ass Swimmer) as well as thematically similar PSA’s with stars from the Washington Freedom!

Lastly, look our for Emily’s work on the documentary about the Asian Long Horned Beetle that has run amok in Worcester Massachusetts, to be airing in the early spring! See a PSA from the same campaign here.

That’s all for now.
